There’s a scene in Sister Act 2 where Sister Mary Clarence is talking to Rita. If memory serves, it’s after Rita has quit the choir. She then quotes an author who said “don’t ask me about being a writer. If when you wake up in the morning, you can think of nothing but writing, then you’re a writer.” Sister Mary Clarence goes on to tell Rita that if, when she wakes up in the morning, she can’t think of anything but singing then she’s meant to be a singer.
I think about photography non-stop. Several weeks ago after dropping my daughter off for Girls Camp I took the extremely long way home on accident. I took this one street that I thought for sure would bring out at the exactly right spot…instead I ended up about 10 miles North of where I wanted to be. While driving this road waiting for it to bring to some place familiar, I saw the most amazing barn and instantly thought “oh man I wish I had my camera.” Today I took the super scenic long way home from Scout Camp, camera in tow and captured these:
I love this barn so much I want to actually go back with my sigma and tripod and shoot it even closer. I’ve been thinking about entering a few of my photos in the fair…these may be just the shots!
